When we suspect a trunk is buried, we can perform root crown excavations where we pull away excess soil from around the trunk of the tree to expose the root flair.

Trees do not tolerate grade changes. Excess soil against the trunk and over the roots can promote root disease. Severe, and hazardous defects can occur just under the soil surface where trunks are buried.
